Learning Resources Woodshop Toys U.S. Map Puzzle

Can you name the capital of South Dakota? What are the five states bordering Utah? Prepare young scholars for their first United States geography tests with this multicolored U.S. Map puzzle. Red, yellow, blue, green, and peach colored wooden puzzle pieces, each shaped to resemble one of the 50 states, are labeled with their respective state name in easy-to-read, bold black lettering. The wooden board, when empty of puzzle pieces, provides only an outline and the capital city of each state, pushing children to test their knowledge of capitals and the location of the 50 states. Mileage scales on the lower portion of the puzzle board help determine real distances from one city to another. --Cate Bick

Customer Review: Loves puzzles

My dog chewed on Kentucky, and I think my 4 year old lost South Carolina - but we'll find it eventually. It's a GREAT puzzle - and my daughter loves to take it apart and put it together. I bought it...

Customer Review: USA Geography

A superb tool for teaching both shape recognition and American geography. My four-yr-old grandson is learning something that no other item could have taught so well.
